Salary: 20,000 to 25,000 pa 5% flexible benefits fund

Location: Southampton (with occasional travel to our Sheffield Office)

Contract: 12months FTC

Role Overview

The Business Excellence Co-ordinator will play a pivotal role in supporting with the improvement of the Employment Services morale and ultimately improvement of the Great Place to Work (GPTW) Score, our key measure of success for employee morale.

The role will work closely with managers within the business, along with HR, Marketing and our Employee representative group to support clear and consistent communication and drive forward GPTW initiatives.

The role will support in tracking actions linked to employee feedback and morale improvement across the business, supporting action owners to deliver and make progress. In addition the role will support managers in transparent reporting on business initiatives ensuring employees are clear about their role to play in meeting the organisations wider strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support managers with clear and consistent communication methods to their employees.

  • Work with the Senior Managers to support communications regarding change to business operations

  • Work with the reporting team and managers to help communicate clear business information to improve transparency on performance to ensure all employees are aware of their teams and the business performance

  • Track and follow up on actions as part of the Great Place to Work (GPTW) Action Plan.

  • Monitor progress on the GPTW action plan, working closely with the U2 group (employee representative group).

  • Suggest further improvements to support the action plans where appropriate.

  • Escalate in a timely manner where actions are not being completed by the due date and ensure any changes are agreed by the Director of Employment Services.

  • Work closely with HR, Marketing and employee representative groups to drive actions forward.

  • Work with all the teams to understand what information and communication channels they would like to see implemented

  • Work with marketing to drive a communication plan that links the employee objectives to ES objectives and the NHS SBS objectives

  • Work with marketing to articulate the vision of ES and how that translates to people's roles

Essential Skills

  • Strong administration skills

  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders, and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels throughout an organisation

  • Experience of communicating effectively through written and verbal mediums

  • Ability to work without close supervision

  • Previous experience working to tight deadlines and ability to prioritise

Desirable Skills

  • Previous project work exposure (PMO)

  • Governance or Quality & Assurance background
