Part of a global group, our client is a leading polymer manufacturer supplying a range of industry sectors

Responsibilities:

Team and process development

Lead, mentor, develop and upgrade the overall supply chain capability of the European organization:
- Identify and apply supply chain best practices in planning, inventory management and order to delivery process.
- Identify and apply appropriate metrics to team performance.
- Assume leadership accountability for the supply chain community
- Mentor the organization to improve economic thinking skills and make economically appropriate decisions
Ensure all activities related to international trade and transportation are in compliance with government regulations, and that all supply chain activities are aligned with company compliance standards.
Drive a culture based on MBM® principles.

Supply chain planning.

Lead the European region in all aspects of supply chain planning: This includes but is not limited to:
- Leading the short and medium term planning and execution to maximize short term ROCC and long term value in alignment with business strategies.
- Leading the asset tasking planning for sites in a manner that maximizes ROCC
- Liaising with business leaders to develop options in longer term capacity planning.
Lead an effective S&OP process with full integration of operations, business, finance and supply chain functions.
Develop optimum inventory targets and locations. Execute against targets. Implement robust processes for identification of slow and at risk inventory.

Essential Experience:

Degree Educated, preferable Supply Chain focussed
Experience in:
- Supply chain leadership role in a global or multiregional business.
- Leading development and implementation of disciplined Supply Chain processes
- Standardising and automating processes and developing robust metrics.
- Implementing IT tools accompanied by process changes.
- Application of supply chain models that include short term planning, development of inventory targets and leading effective S&OP processes.
- Conducting scenario planning
- Roles that demonstrate strong economic thinking skills

Desired Experience:

* MBA
* SAP experience
* Additional European Language - German
